Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8 hour days

Location: Fishlake National Forest

Overview:

Interns will work with the Fishlake National Forest to maintain trails, campgrounds, and other recreation areas. Housing is not available. Interns will work for up to 13 weeks.

Position Responsibilities:

Providing assistance on clearing trails of rock, brush and trees and creating a sustainable trail through water bars and proper trail maintenance. Campground and recreation area maintenance such as cleaning out fire rings, cleaning toilets, painting and weed removal. Sign installation and maintenance. Hiking will be required and lifting heavy objects of up to 80 pounds.

Qualifications:

  1. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  2. Experience working outdoors
  3. Ability to navigate across landscapes with the use of map and GPS
  4. Able to hike and perform physical labor and lift heavy objects up to 80 pounds. Application Instructions:
